Why at-home swim lessons?

The home is a familiar, calm environment - which makes it the optimal place to learn to swim.

Just imagine, quality swim lessons in your own environment…

  • No screaming children

  • No crowded, muggy swim centre

  • No distractions by peers

  • No unfamiliar faces

One of the major factors in learning to swim is learning to be relaxed in the water. A tense, stiff body will severely undermine anything that is taught in swimming lessons. It’s extremely important that a swimming student - no matter their age - is happy and relaxed during their lesson, and where are we ever more relaxed than in our own home?

We have found that at home swimming lessons are particularly beneficial for:

  • Children with a fear of swimming

  • Children who are uncomfortable with strangers, or crowded and loud environments

  • Children and adults with autism and other cognitive and sensory disabilities

  • Adults who are uncomfortable with learning to swim in a public environment

  • People with compromised immune systems who would be at risk in a crowded environment

  • Parents with children under 3 who are unable to participate in lessons with their child - we offer lessons for babies and toddlers from 4 months with no need for parents to enter the water
