Rules and Requirements
To ensure our lessons run incident free, there are a few requirements that must be adhered to before and during our swim lessons.
Water Dragon Swim Tuition has the right to cancel a lesson if the below rules and requirements are not adhered to. We are unable to offer refunds, credits or makeup lessons if a class must be cancelled due neglect of any of the below rules and requirements.

Be clean and the chemical balance and temperature regularly tested
-
Have a pool fence that complies with current NSW Pool safety Standards
-
Have a CPR sign displayed in line with NSW Pool Safety requirements
-
For pools in apartment complexes - the student/parent must obtain permission from the apartment complex management body prior to booking in swim lessons.
Before each lesson the parent (if the student is a child) or student (if the student is an adult) must:
-
Ensure pool temperature is between 24 and 35 degrees Celsius.
-
Ensure pool chemical levels have been tested prior to swimming lessons commencing and are at a suitable level.
-
Ensure all chemicals are stored as per the manufacturers recommendations and locked in a shed or hazardous materials cupboard.
-
Ensure the pool area is free from any hazards.
During the lesson:
-
The swim instructor has a duty of care for the student in their lesson and is responsible for ensuring their safety throughout the lesson. This duty of care does not extend to spectators, other pool users, or anyone other than the student they are teaching. The swim instructor holds no responsibility for any incidents occurring outside of the lesson being conducted.
-
No other activities are to be conducted in the pool during the swim lesson. During the lesson, the pool is to solely be used by the swim teacher and the students participating in the lesson (shared apartment complex pools excluded).
-
No children other than the students in the class are to enter the fenced pool area during the lesson (shared apartment complex pools excluded).
-
Students must follow the directions of the swim instructor. If the instructor ever feels that the safety of themselves or their student is being compromised due to student behaviour or outside influences, they have the right to cancel the lesson on the spot. No refund, credit or makeup lesson will be granted in this circumstance.
-
Children under 3 must wear a swim nappy for the duration of their lesson to safeguard the hygiene of all users of the pool
